Featured Friday Photo is back. After a hiatus to update this blog and my photography website, I am ready to start this series up again. Thank you for your patience during all of this.
Since I just came back from an amazing trip to Kenya, thanks to the Kenya Tourism Board, over the next few weeks I will be featuring photos from my trip. This weeks photo?
Amboseli Elephant

I took this photo my first hour in Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Amboseli is famous for their elephants. They are actually not allowed to tell us how many elephants are in the area due to anti-poaching laws (Kenya is very strict against poaching. They just passed a law where the penalty for being caught poaching is to be shot on sight. And I totally agree with this law.)
But Amboseli is where much elephant research takes place, and where many nature videos and photographs about African elephants are shot. This elephant was only about 10 feet (3 meters) from our jeep. We stopped and just watched for a while while our guide taught us about elephants behavior, family, and about Amboseli and all they do to protect these majestic animals.
Featured Friday Photo is a segment, where each Friday, I pick one of the photos that I have for sale or license on my photography website (DaniBlanchette.com), and I put the photo on an amazing sale for 1 week. You can buy prints for almost cost. Prints as low as $10 each, and you can download the photo for only $3.
Which photo I put on sale each week is a surprise, but I can tell you that for the new few weeks, I will be reducing prices on various Kenya photos. Check back each Friday to see the new photo for sale.
And as always, all photos here and on the website are available for licensing and stock (contact me to discuss details and price) and anyone can use the photos from this blog for school projects or educational use for free.
