I’m on my way to TBEX!
After an hour bus ride to the Medellin Airport (which is not in Medellin. It is actually in Rio Negro, an hour into the mountains), I have a 5 minute check in and 2 hours to hang out with Diego (who has accompanied me to the airport).
What do we do to pass 2 hours?
Be sexy people of course!
And now Im sitting in the El Viajero Hostel in Cartagena, in the hot, humid, and steamy Cartagenian air. Sudden bursts of downpours alternate with light drizzle…but the sticky, thick soup-like air is endless.
Luckily there is AC in the rooms, and I leave tomorrow anyway. And I kind of secretly like sitting here in the fanned-only common room, drinking my beer, and feeling slimy from the humidity. It wont be long before I’m back to the dry heat of Vegas, and downing gallons of Gatorade a day.
Tomorrow I fly, with awesome JetBlue Airlines (So excited! I love JetBlue!) to New York. I hope I have a chance to walk around the city and take some photos before heading up north. I have a week or so of craziness, after which I will have many stories about riding ATV’s, being a big kid at LEGOLAND, and going down the LARGEST rollercoaster in Canada (and 7th largest in the world….I can’t believe I’m going to do this!).
But first – I have a Korean Dumpling Date with my friend in New York City!
Cheers and see you in Toronto!
