During my 10 day trip to Santiago, Chile, I was invited on a day tour of Valparaiso and Vino del Mar. In Valparaiso, we stopped near the ship harbour to see the giant ships, stacked as tall as skyscrapers with sea containers, and to learn about the shipping history in the area. But what captured me the most, was this rainbow of tiny little wooden boats docked amongst the sea giants.
These boats look like a little box of floating crayons, brightly colored and all lined up in a row. I don’t know if these are just little dinghies to move from the large shipping vessels to land, or if these are induvidually owned fisherman boats, but it was such a vivid site to see.
About Dani Blanchette
I am a freelance travel and music photographer and creator of GoingNomadic.com.
I love music, food, and exploring cities without guidebooks. I’ve flown a helicopter, hitchhiked down the east coast USA, and once snuck into the back of a zoo (in Serbia) and pet a lion.
I am always up for an adventure, and sometimes I videotape them.
