Living in Las Vegas has its perks. We are close to great food, amazing shows, world-class hotels, and a bunch of amazing things to do, and as locals, we get all sorts of local discounts too. Cheaper room rate, special 2 for 1 meals, free entry into bars and clubs, etc, there are a ton of “local’s deals” for people who live in the city.
But not everything has a “local’s special”, especially when it comes to things to do on The Strip. If you are from out-of-town, you obviously can’t get any of the local’s deals. People are always asking me “How can I see a show cheap?” or “Do you know any room deals?”. I usually can’t answer these questions though, because any of the deals we hear about in Vegas, usually have to do with “local’s specials” which don’t apply.
Also, when us locals really need a stay-cation, or want to play tourist for a day, Vegas can get expensive. So I began looking for Vegas “deals” – good ones! Ones that are offered to both locals and visitors and are actually really good prices that you can’t find on your own. And to my surprise, I found a really awesome website that has amazing deals around Vegas (and cities all over the world, not just in the USA), that I had thought of as nothing more than a booking site. The site?
TravelZoo.com
I knew that TravelZoo is a great booking site for deals on hotels, plane tickets, vacation packages, and last-minute deals (you know, for when you REALLY need to escape right now and don’t care where)…but I didn’t know that you can also find great local deals for cities all over the world!
Here is a few examples of some of the awesomeness here in Vegas (simply because I am from Vegas and know what these things usually cost) that ANYONE (local or visiting) can book through TravelZoo at the moment:
- Massage or facial at Drift Spa in the Palms Casino for $75 (normally $155)
- Helicopter tour over the Vegas Skyline for only $69 (usually $149)
- Tickets to see Recycled Percussion (AWESOME show) for only $19! It’s normally $82 a ticket!
- Vegas Gourmet Walking Tour for only $29 (versus $59).
This is just an example. These deals also have limits too. Things like $17 for a day pass and drinks at the Vegas Airport Lounge or $39 for a 4-star room at the Palms with breakfast are sold out (man, I wish I saw this earlier. I could totally use a stay-cation at the Palms!)
So now, when you are planning your holiday vacations – you can not only book your plans using TravelZoo – you can also discover and book things to do during your trip at crazy discounts! And like I said – they do this for cities all over the world!
So to recap:
TravelZoo.com has great deals on local things to all over the world.
