First Friday is Las Vegas’s monthly art walk and art festival. Anything goes here, and the weirder and more unique you are, the better. People dress up year round to attend this event, and while not required, it is really fun! Performers from the amazingly talented to the amazingly wrong (albeit hilarious) come out to show off their skills (or total lack of shame). You’ll find an extensive variety of musicians, costumed creatures, along with artists, food trucks, craft people, and you never know what else.
First Friday takes place in Las Vegas’s art district (YES, Las Vegas has an art district!). It is called 18B and if you Google map “Art District, Las Vegas” it will actually come up. The main show happens around Charleston and Main streets (about halfway between the Stratosphere and Fremont Street), but this particular First Friday happened to be twice the size it usually is…which was amazing!
Check out the video – but be warned…the music is not safe for kids or work, especially if you are British. (I don’t understand about 90% of what he is saying. If you are British and understand this slang, can you please explain it to me?). Enjoy!
