Gliding in a morning hot air balloon ride over the Maasai Mara is one of the best ways to see this beautiful landscape. Below you herds of animals roam the vast plains. You can see for miles, and gliding over the Mara as the sun rises and paints the land below you a rainbow of colors is breathtaking. Waking up, and driving an hour, while it’s still dark is totally worth it. You don’t even realize you’ve left the ground. Hot air balloons are surprisingly gentle. Not like being in a plane or helicopter. You gently float along, and the heat from the burners, casts unexpected warmth over you.
Plus it’s just really cool to do!
Each Friday I put one of the photos found on my photography website (LaGringaPhotos.com) on sale for the week. You can download the photo for just $3, or buy prints starting at only $10. You never know which photo I will put for sale, so keep watching. And remember to snatch up this print this week, before it goes back until full price!
About Dani Blanchette
I am a freelance travel and music photographer and creator of GoingNomadic.com.
I love music, food, and exploring cities without guidebooks. I’ve flown a helicopter, hitchhiked down the east coast USA, and once snuck into the back of a zoo (in Serbia) and pet a lion.
I am always up for an adventure, and sometimes I videotape them.
