Well, I decided to judge this myself…but judge it in a way that lets you also judge it yourself.
For the last three months I’ve only been able to see Diego using Skype (for those that don’t know, he is my boyfriend who lives in Medellin, Colombia; while I had to come back to the USA because my tourist days ran out)
So I decided to start taking screen snapshot, using Skype’s snapshot tool, during our conversations. (Skype’s screen capture shows exactly what I see in the video).
So after these first three months, I made a movie from the photos taken during our Skype conversations. Some photos are great, some are blurry (especially if I try to capture while he is moving. Skype blurs with lots of movement a bit), and sometime Skype turns Diego’s face into a 1980 8-bit video game (which I find hilarious).
But if you haven’t used Skype and want to know what it is like, watch the following video
Also; Diego uses the totally free Skype, I pay for the USA Skype. (so I could call my family back home on their cell phones)…but the video quality is the same for both types of services).
Skype has in no way sponsored this, and besides the use of its services, has nothing to do with this video in anyway. I just made it so I could show people just what Skype is like. Turns out, I’m also showing you just what my boyfriend is like…a totally, awesome nutcase.
CHEERS!

I am a freelance travel and music photographer and creator of GoingNomadic.com.
I love music, food, and exploring cities without guidebooks. I’ve flown a helicopter, hitchhiked down the east coast USA, and once snuck into the back of a zoo (in Serbia) and pet a lion.
I am always up for an adventure, and sometimes I videotape them.
