This adorable baby elephant is doing what every child does, annoys their moms while they are trying to eat! It’s like you can see the elephant going, “Mom. Mom. Mommy. Mom. Mo-ommmmm.”.
They are part of a family of elephant roaming the plains in Amboseli National Reserve in south-central Kenya. Elephants are matriarchal – a female leads the herd. The herds are usually made up of a mother, her daughters, and their offspring, but on rare occasions non-related elephants have been allowed into a herd.
And just like humans, the young children are curious, and you see them constantly looking for attention. It’s adorable.
If you want to go to Kenya to see these elephants yourself, check out this post I wrote ‘Planning Your Kenyan Safari‘ (on Bootsnall.com). It is a whole bunch of tips, information, and questions to ask when planning a Kenyan safari.
Each week I feature a new photo and put that photo on sale for the week. You can download this photograph for just $3 or buy prints for a low as $10!
